Weekly Prayer Call

Pastor Bryan Carter from Concord Church and Jeff Warren from Park Cities Baptist Church would like to cordially invite you to participate in a weekly prayer call every Wednesday at 11:00-11:30 AM CST. The call-in number is 972-798-2730.

 

March 18, 2020 - April 6, 2020

The focus of the call is to pray for four specific areas:  Church (Matt 5:14),  Physical healing (Psalm 103:3), Financial healing (Philippians 4:19), and Faith over fear (Isaiah 41:10).

In light of everything going on, Volunteer Now is offering a FREE webinar on virtual volunteering. The webinar will help you explore ways to plan for and successfully engage virtual volunteers. It will also include tips on posting your volunteer opportunities to attract and engage with great virtual volunteers.

What is COPE?

COPE is a 2.5 hour experiential event that accommodates 40 to 120 participants. In partnership with the Chalmers Center (authors of When Helping Hurts), Think Tank has partnered with Unite to deliver COPE to thousands of DFW residents. Unite can bring it to your location or invite you to our permanent facility which gives participants a much more unique and immersive experience.

State of Homelessness Address

The address covers the results of January's annual homeless count, a thorough review of the progress of Dallas' homeless response system over the preceding year, and the next steps the community must take to make homelessness, in Dallas and Collin Counties, rare, brief and nonrecurring.

Agency Briefings are offered monthly in Dallas and Tarrant counties. Each Briefing provides an overview of Volunteer Center programs and services that are designed to support area nonprofits and an opportunity to meet and network with other nonprofit professionals.  

What to Expect:

  • Voly.org is an online volunteer matching program for Dallas-Fort Worth volunteers and nonprofit organizations. Voly.org is a database sponsored by Volunteer Now that allows users to post and find volunteer needs throughout Greater Dallas.

  • Learn who to contact for various agency programs and get answers to questions you may have about maximizing services for your agency. Voly.org helps nonprofit agencies with their constant need to fill volunteer positions and to allow volunteers to make a difference where it matters most.
