Active Community Meeting - Special Time of Celebration and Case Worker Appreciation

October 26 @ 11:30am

Freedom Church & Harvest Family Life Ministries

RSVP: email Raymond@careportal.org

In this meeting, not only will we have the opportunity to celebrate the Child and the Church, we also plan to celebrate our first responders.  The Child Welfare Workers that connect you to hurting children and families are being invited as well so that you will have a personal opportunity to meet and share the love of our Lord with them.  Our Requesting Agency workers do so much to serve and to advocate for the children and families and many times are doing so while they themselves may be hurting and going through trials of their own.  We want to use our meeting time to hear from them, pray for and encourage them, allow them to share in our celebration of what God is doing.

We'll reflect on the impact recent legislation has on nutrition and food insecurity for hungry Texans

and what the faith community can do.

What does the faith community need to know about state and federal food and nutrition policies?

What is the impact of these policies on food and financial security for hungry Texans?

How can faith based partners help support and strengthen anti-hunger policies and programs?
